Audio One San Diego has been installing car audio at 1610 Palm Ave since 2009. Same family, same shop, same neighborhood, and many of the same techs you saw 5, 10, 15 years ago are still here today.
We work on every kind of vehicle that shows up, daily-driver Civics, lifted F-150s, Wranglers running open-top year-round, classic muscle, family minivans, marine boats heading to the bay, and side-by-sides built for the trails east of Otay. The mix is wide. The standard is the same.

Our techs are certified across the gear we install, Kicker, Sony, Boss Audio, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, and have years of hands-on experience with the brands and systems we've built over the past 17 years. The work spans car stereo installation, custom subwoofer enclosures, amplifier installs with proper power-wire routing, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto retrofits (wireless and stock-look OEM-fit), full system rebuilds, marine audio for boats, ATV and UTV sound systems, Jeep audio for top-off driving, vehicle lighting upgrades, factory-radio integration modules, alarms and remote-start systems, GPS trackers, dashcams, backup cameras, rear-seat entertainment, and full audio-system diagnostics and repairs on systems we did or didn't install.
Every install carries our lifetime workmanship warranty: if the wiring or fab work fails for as long as you own the vehicle, we fix it free. That's not marketing, it's how we've been operating since 2009. If there's a problem with the install itself, bring it back and we'll make it right.

How we work
The four things you can count on.
Quoted price = final price.
Whatever number we give you on the phone or in the shop is what you pay at pickup. The quote covers parts, labor, harnesses, and any wiring needed for the install. If something genuinely changes mid-install, say we discover a corroded harness that needs replacing, we'll call you, explain what's needed, and you decide before any extra work happens.
Recommendations match what you actually need.
If your factory radio is fine and you only need speakers, that's all we'll sell you. If the right fix is a $79 diagnostic and a $40 part, that's what we'll quote. 'No pressure sales' is one of the phrases that shows up most often in our Google review summary, we built the shop around that approach deliberately.
Lifetime workmanship warranty.
Every install carries our lifetime workmanship warranty. Bring the vehicle back any time, for as long as you own it, if something we installed fails. We'll fix it. The shop has been on Palm Ave for 17 years and isn't going anywhere.
Most appointments are same-day or next-day.
Walk-ins are welcome any day, including Sunday 9 AM to 5 PM. If you need a quote, we'll write one on the spot. If the install can be done that day, we'll usually start it that day.
The shop
What you'll find when you walk in.
The shop sits on Palm Avenue between the I-5 and I-805. The front door opens onto a customer waiting area with an observation window into the install bays, you can watch the work happen if you want to wait it out. The bays themselves are equipped for everything from quick speaker swaps to multi-day custom fabrication: lift access, full electrical bench, MDF and fiberglass tools, vinyl and carpet upholstery station, and dedicated marine and powersport areas for boats and UTVs.
Most of our techs have been in the industry for 10 or more years. We carry inventory for the brands we install, Kicker, Sony, Boss Audio, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, plus Memphis Audio, Sundown Audio, Compustar, Viper, Avital, JBL, and others, so most installs can happen the same day you walk in. Plenty of free parking out front. Walk-in friendly. Spanish spoken. Open seven days a week.
